Postobón is one of the oldest and most iconic beverage brands in Colombia, known particularly for its Kola Postobón and the champagne-flavored soda, Colombiana. The brand traces its roots back to 1904 in Medellín, Colombia, where Gabriel Posada and Valerio Tobón (giving the brand its name) began creating distinctive carbonated soft drinks that became deeply embedded in Colombian culture and cuisine.
Today, the brand is owned by Organización Ardila Lülle (OAL), one of the largest conglomerate groups in Colombia. While its primary manufacturing hubs are located throughout Colombia to serve the domestic market, the company has expanded its manufacturing footprint to include international locations such as Spain (via Iberia Refreshments) to better serve the European market without the logistical costs of trans-Atlantic shipping. The ultimate ownership remains firmly with the Ardila Lülle family in Colombia, making it a proud symbol of Colombian entrepreneurial success.
