Upfield is a global leader in plant-based nutrition, best known for its iconic spreads and margarines. The brand portfolio includes internationally recognized names like Flora, Rama, Blue Band, ProActiv, and Becel. These products are manufactured in dozens of facilities worldwide to serve markets across Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia.

The history of Upfield is deeply rooted in the margarine business originally developed by Unilever. In 2018, Unilever completed the divestment of its spreads business to KKR, a global investment firm, leading to the creation of Upfield as an independent entity. Since then, the company has focused exclusively on plant-based products, acquiring additional brands like Violife to expand into the vegan cheese market.

Today, Upfield is headquartered in Amsterdam and continues to be owned by KKR. Its operations span the globe, emphasizing sustainable sourcing and the transition toward plant-based diets. The company maintains a strong local presence through various national subsidiaries that handle distribution and marketing tailored to regional consumer preferences.
