Meukow is a renowned Cognac house founded in 1862 by two Russian brothers, Auguste-Christophe and Gustave Meukow, with the original purpose of supplying the Russian Tsar with high-quality spirits. Despite its Russian roots, the brand is deeply embedded in French tradition, as it is produced in the Cognac region of France. The brand is famous for its iconic feline logo, a pouncing panther, which represents the strength and smoothness of their spirits.
Since 1979, Meukow has been part of the family-owned Compagnie de Guyenne group. All production, aging, and bottling processes take place in France, adhering to the strict Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) regulations for Cognac. This ensures that every bottle maintains the historical quality associated with the brand's 19th-century origins while operating under modern French ownership.
