Rama Cremefine is a well-known vegetable fat-based alternative to heavy cream, specifically designed for whipping and cooking. The Rama brand itself is a historic German margarine brand first introduced by the company Vereinigte Lebensmittelwerke in 1924. Historically, it was a flagship brand of the multinational Unilever.

In 2018, Unilever sold its spreads business (including Rama, Becel, and Blue Band) to the US private equity firm KKR. Since then, the brand has been managed by Upfield, a global leader in plant-based spreads and products. While the brand has deep German roots and is a staple in the DACH region, the manufacturing for various international markets occurs across multiple Upfield production facilities throughout Europe.
