Norda Running Shoes

Norda is a high-performance trail running brand that emerged from the rugged landscapes of Canada. Founded in Montreal by Nick and Willa Martire, the brand was born out of a desire to create the ultimate endurance footwear capable of withstanding extreme conditions while prioritizing sustainability. Norda gained significant recognition for being the first to utilize bio-based Dyneema, the world's strongest and lightest fiber, in its shoe uppers, setting a new benchmark for durability in the trail running industry.

While the brand was conceptualized and is currently headquartered in Quebec, Canada, its manufacturing processes are conducted in China to leverage specialized technical facilities capable of handling advanced synthetic materials like Dyneema. In early 2023, the Italian luxury fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna Group (Zegna) acquired a minority stake in the brand, marking a significant step in Norda's global expansion and its integration into the luxury performance market. The brand continues to operate independently while benefiting from the logistical and retail expertise of its majority partners.
