Le Guérandais Fleur de Sel de Guérande is a premium, hand-harvested sea salt originating from the Guérande salt marshes in Western France. The product is 100% natural and additive-free, characterized by its delicate white crystals that form on the surface of the salt ponds under specific weather conditions. It is protected under the 'Protected Geographical Indication' (PGI/IGP) status, which ensures that the salt is produced, processed, and prepared in the Guérande region using traditional methods.

The brand is owned by the 'Les Salines de Guérande' cooperative (Groupement des Producteurs de Sel de Guérande), which was adopted as an agricultural cooperative in 1988. This cooperative was founded by local salt workers (paludiers) to preserve artisanal salt-making traditions and protect the salt marshes from urban development. Today, the cooperative manages the production, packaging, and marketing of the salt, making the salt workers themselves the ultimate owners of the brand.
