Garofalo is a historic Italian pasta maker with a legacy dating back to 1789 in Gragnano, Italy, a town world-renowned for its pasta production heritage. The brand is celebrated for its commitment to high-quality ingredients and traditional manufacturing techniques that have been passed down through generations.
While the brand maintains its deep Italian roots and continues to produce its high-end pasta products in Italy, its ownership structure has evolved. Specifically, since 2014, the Spanish multinational Ebro Foods has held a majority stake in Pastificio Lucio Garofalo S.p.A. This partnership has allowed Garofalo to expand its international presence while leveraging Ebro's massive global distribution network.
Today, Garofalo remains a premium name in the pasta market, offering a variety of dry and fresh pasta options, including stuffed varieties like the Prosciutto Crudo Tortellini shown here. The company continues to operate out of its historic headquarters in Gragnano, ensuring that the 'Made in Italy' quality remains core to the brand's identity under the oversight of its Spanish parent company.
