Zewa is one of the most recognized brands in the European hygiene market, particularly famous for its high-quality paper towels, kitchen rolls, and toilet paper. The brand's journey began in Germany in 1960 under the Zellstoff-und Papierfabrik Waldhof-Aschaffenburg company, from which the name 'Zewa' was derived. Over the decades, it became a household name synonymous with absorbent and tear-resistant paper products.
In contemporary ownership, Zewa is part of the portfolio of Essity, a global leader in hygiene and health products based in Sweden. Essity was spun off from the forest products company SCA (Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget) in 2017 to focus specifically on personal care and tissue products. Today, Zewa products are manufactured across various European sites to maintain a localized supply chain and reduce carbon footprint, with main production facilities located in Germany and Austria.
