O’Tacos is a prominent French fast-food chain specializing in the 'French Tacos,' a unique culinary fusion that differs significantly from traditional Mexican tacos. Founded in 2007 in Grenoble, France, by Silman Traoré and brothers Samba and Amine Traoré, the brand revolutionized the snack food market by introducing a grilled flour tortilla filled with various meats, French fries, and a signature secret cheese sauce. The brand's rapid expansion through franchising propelled it from a local favorite to a major international player.
In 2018, the brand underwent a significant ownership shift when it was acquired by Kharis Capital, an investment firm that manages the QSRP (Quick Service Restaurant Platform). This move brought O’Tacos under the same management umbrella as other major regional fast-food brands like Burger King in certain European territories and Quick. Today, while the brand maintains its French cultural roots and core menu identity, its operations are overseen by a multi-national holding company based in Belgium, ensuring its growth across Europe and North Africa.
