Miracle Whip is a widely recognized salad cream and condiment that serves as a popular alternative to traditional mayonnaise. It was originally developed by Kraft Foods in 1933 and debuted at the Chicago World's Fair as a cost-effective, flavorful dressing during the Great Depression. Since then, it has become a staple in North American and European households.
While the brand originated in the United States, its production is now global to meet regional demands. In Europe, including the Danish market, it is often produced in facilities located in Germany or other EU countries. Ownership of the brand is currently split: in the United States and Canada, it is owned by Kraft Heinz, while internationally (including Europe), the rights to many former Kraft grocery brands, including Miracle Whip, are managed by Mondelēz International or licensed under specific regional agreements following the 2012 corporate split of Kraft Foods Inc.
