Almarai is widely recognized as the world's largest vertically integrated dairy company. Founded in 1977 by Irish pioneer Alastair McGuckian and Prince Sultan bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Kabeer, the brand was established to modernize the Saudi Arabian dairy industry. Today, it operates the most significant food production network in the Middle East, spanning dairy, juice, bakery, and poultry sectors.
Manufacturing primarily occurs within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, specifically at their massive central processing plants in Al Kharj. This highly integrated system allows Almarai to manage the entire lifecycle of its products, from the crops used to feed the cattle to the specialized distribution fleet that delivers fresh goods daily to thousands of retailers across the GCC. While Saudi Arabia remains its core production hub, the brand has expanded its footprint through strategic acquisitions and regional facilities in Egypt and Jordan.
