Vandoren Woodwind Reeds

Vandoren is a globally renowned manufacturer of reeds and mouthpieces for woodwind instruments. Founded in 1905 by Eugène Van Doren, a clarinetist for the Paris Opéra, the company began as a small workshop at his home in Paris. Today, it remains a family-owned business, with operations led by Bernard Van Doren, ensuring that the traditional craftsmanship lives on through generations.

All Vandoren reeds are manufactured in France using cane (Arundo donax) grown exclusively in the Var region of southern France. The company is famous for its vertically integrated production process, which includes the cultivation of the cane to ensure peak quality. Their factory in Bormes-les-Mimosas utilizes advanced precision machinery to maintain high standards across several popular reed lines, such as the Traditional, V12, and Java series.
