Finish is a globally recognized household name, widely considered the world's most popular brand for automatic dishwashing products. The brand's history began in 1953 when it was launched by the American company Economics Laboratory, which later became EcoLab. It was specifically developed for the burgeoning market of domestic dishwashers, introducing specialized cleaning technology to consumers.
In 1987, the consumer products division of EcoLab was acquired by the British company J.A. Benckiser, which later merged with Reckitt & Colman to form Reckitt Benckiser (now known as Reckitt). Under Reckitt's stewardship, Finish has become a pinnacle of cleaning innovation, famously introducing the 'Powerball' technology in 1999, which is prominently featured on this Ultimate Plus packaging.
Today, Finish products are manufactured in several facilities worldwide to serve different regional markets. Major production hubs are located in Europe (notably Poland and Germany) and North America. The brand is currently owned by Reckitt, a British multinational consumer goods company headquartered in Slough, England, which also owns other major household brands like Dettol, Lysol, and Vanish.
