Havana Club is one of the most iconic rum brands globally, deeply rooted in Cuban heritage. Originally established in Cárdenas, Cuba, by José Arechabala in 1878, the brand became a symbol of Cuban distilling excellence. Following the Cuban Revolution, the company was nationalized by the government.
Since 1993, the brand has been managed through a high-profile 50/50 joint venture between the state-owned Cuba Ron S.A. and the French spirits giant Pernod Ricard. While the legal disputes regarding the trademark in the United States are well-documented, the authentic Cuban Havana Club remains produced in Santa Cruz del Norte and San José de las Lajas, Cuba, utilizing local sugarcane and traditional aging methods overseen by the 'Maestros Roneros'. This specific gift set showcases different aging profiles, including the Añejo 3 Años and Añejo 7 Años.
