Sanex is a well-known personal care brand that was originally founded in Spain in 1984. It was specifically developed to keep skin healthy by focusing on products that work in harmony with the skin’s natural biology. The brand gained significant popularity in Europe for its hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested formulas.
In terms of ownership, Sanex was originally created by the Spanish company Cruz Verde. It was later acquired by the multinational corporation Unilever. However, in 2011, as part of a deal to satisfy European competition authorities during Unilever’s acquisition of the personal care business of Alberto-Culver, Sanex was sold to the American multinational Colgate-Palmolive. Today, Sanex is a key brand in the Colgate-Palmolive portfolio, produced in various facilities across Europe and other global locations to serve international markets.
