Bis is one of the most iconic chocolate brands in Brazil, originally launched in 1942 by the company Lacta. The product consists of a wafer covered in chocolate, and the 'Branco' (White) version specifically features a white chocolate coating.
Starting from its roots in Curitiba, Brazil, the brand has seen several ownership changes through corporate mergers. In 1996, Lacta was acquired by Kraft Foods. Following a corporate spin-off in 2012, the brand became part of Mondelēz International, a global snack food giant. Today, Bis is primarily manufactured in Brazil, specifically at the Mondelēz factory in Curitiba, which is the largest chocolate factory for the company globally.
