Nissin Miojo is a household name in Brazil, representing the local adaptation of the instant noodle phenomenon. The brand was founded by Momofuku Ando in Japan, who invented the world's first instant noodles in 1958.
In Brazil, the brand is synonymous with the term 'Miojo'. For decades, it was a joint venture between Nissin and Ajinomoto, but since 2015, Nissin Foods Holdings has become the full owner of the Brazilian operation. The product is manufactured locally in factories in Ibiúna and Glória do Goitá to serve the massive South American market.
