Part of the Dual Super Lead (DSL) series, this specific 1-watt combo model is widely manufactured in Vietnam to maintain affordability while adhering to British design standards. Marshall Amplification, originally founded by Jim Marshall in London during the 1960s, is one of the most iconic names in rock music history.

In recent years, the brand underwent a significant corporate shift. As of 2023, the Marshall Group was formed following the acquisition of the UK-based Marshall Amplification by Zound Industries, a Swedish audio electronics company. This merger combined the heritage of British amplification with modern Swedish consumer electronics expertise, with the global headquarters now centered in Stockholm, Sweden. Despite the international ownership, Marshall continues to maintain its historical manufacturing facility in Bletchley, England, for its high-end hand-wired and flagship amplifier ranges.
