Fuller's Old Winter Ale

Fuller's Old Winter Ale is a seasonal English strong ale with a long heritage rooted in London's brewing history. The beer is traditionally crafted at the historic Griffin Brewery in Chiswick, West London, where brewing activities have taken place since the 17th century. The current formulation of the brewery business was established in 1845 by the partnership of John Bird Fuller, Henry Smith, and John Turner.

In a landmark shift for the British beer industry, the brewing operations of Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC were sold in 2019 to the Japanese beverage giant Asahi Group Holdings for £250 million. While the original company, Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC, continues to exist as a separate entity focused on operating pubs and hotels, the beer brands themselves and the production facility are now owned and managed by Asahi. Despite this change in corporate ownership, production remains centered at the original Chiswick site to maintain the brand's authentic London character.
