Infinity Systems was originally founded in 1968 in Los Angeles, California, by industrial physicist Arnie Nudell, John Ulrick, and Cary Christie. The brand quickly gained a reputation for high-fidelity audio innovation, particularly through the use of advanced materials like neodymium magnets and polypropylene cones. Over decades, it became a staple in both home audio and automotive speaker markets.
The Infinity Alpha 20 series was a popular bookshelf speaker line known for its 'Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm' (CMMD) technology. While the brand originated in the United States, many of its high-quality European-market models, like the one shown, were manufactured in Denmark. Today, the Infinity brand is owned by Samsung Electronics through its subsidiary Harman International, which acquired the brand in decades prior. Samsung's ownership ensures that the brand remains part of one of the world's largest consumer electronics portfolios.
