Arctic tumble dryer

Arctic is a historic Romanian brand that has become a major player in the European home appliance market. Founded in 1970 in Găești, Romania, it initially specialized in refrigeration. Following its acquisition by the Turkish group Arçelik in 2002, the brand underwent significant modernization and expansion. Today, Arctic products are manufactured in two highly advanced facilities in Romania: the original refrigerator plant in Găești and a state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 washing machine factory in Ulmi.

In 2024, as part of a global corporate rebranding, the local company name was changed to Beko Romania S.A. to align with the parent group's international identity, although the Arctic consumer brand remains a cornerstone of its portfolio. The brand is now part of the Beko Europe structure, a joint venture that combines the European operations of Arçelik and Whirlpool, with Arçelik (part of Koç Holding) serving as the ultimate owner. This evolution ensures that Arctic remains a leader in providing accessible and energy-efficient appliances while benefiting from a global network of technology and innovation.
