Grundig is a storied European brand with a legacy dating back to 1945 in Germany. Originally founded by Max Grundig, the company initially gained worldwide fame for its high-quality radios and consumer electronics. Over the decades, the brand became a symbol of German engineering and domestic reliability.
In the early 21st century, the ownership of the brand shifted. In 2007, the Turkish company Arçelik A.Ş., which is part of the massive Koç Holding conglomerate, acquired the brand. Today, Grundig operates as a premium global brand for Arçelik, offering a wide range of home appliances and consumer electronics. While the brand maintains a strong design and research presence in Europe to uphold its German heritage, the primary manufacturing facilities for its large appliances, such as dishwashers, are located in Turkey.
