Bresser weather station

Bresser is a well-established brand in the field of optics and meteorological equipment. Founded in Germany in 1957, the company originally focused on binoculars before expanding into telescopes, microscopes, and weather sensors. While the brand maintains its engineering and design headquarters in Rhede, Germany, most of its consumer electronics products, including digital weather stations, are manufactured in China to leverage global electronics manufacturing hubs. In 1999, Bresser entered a long-standing partnership with the US company Meade Instruments, but it eventually became a part of the Jinghua Optical & Electronics (JOC) group, based in Guangzhou, China. Today, the brand remains a dominant player in the European market for scientific and hobbyist equipment, with ownership split between its Chinese parent group and German management.
