Despite the '1837' date prominently featured on its logo, which commemorates the year the Chamber of Commerce was founded in Singapore, the brand itself is a contemporary luxury concept. The company specializes in sourcing and blending high-quality teas from across the globe, positioning itself as a leader in the premium tea market with over 1,000 varieties.

Today, the brand is owned by the V3 Group, a Singapore-based conglomerate owned by businessman Ron Sim. Manufacturing and blending operations are primarily centralized in Singapore to maintain craft quality and heritage. TWG Tea has expanded globally with boutiques and tea salons in premium shopping locations across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America, often distributed through high-end retailers and luxury hotels.
