While the brand's research and design center remains nestled at the foot of Mont Blanc in the French Alps to ensure technical performance, the manufacturing of their backpacks is distributed globally across multiple countries including Vietnam, China, and India to maintain affordability. Quechua operates as an internal brand of the Decathlon Group, a French multinational sporting goods retailer that is largely owned by the Association Familiale Mulliez (AFM).
