The Korando is a compact crossover SUV produced by the South Korean manufacturer KG Mobility, formerly known as SsangYong Motor Company. The brand holds a historic place in the South Korean automotive industry, with the Korando nameplate itself being recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as Korea’s longest-surviving nameplate, originally derived from 'Korea Can Do'.

Production primarily takes place at the Pyeongtaek plant in South Korea. Over the decades, the ownership of the brand has transitioned through several major corporations, including Daewoo Motors, SAIC Motor, and Mahindra & Mahindra. Following a period of financial restructuring, the brand was acquired by the KG Group in 2022, leading to the official rebranding of SsangYong to KG Mobility (KGM) in 2023.

Today, the Korando represents KGM's commitment to modernizing its lineup with both internal combustion engines and electric variants, such as the Korando e-Motion. The brand continues to focus on rugged utility and affordable SUV options for the global market.
