Thrustmaster is a legendary brand in the world of flight simulation and gaming peripherals. Originally founded in the United States in 1990, the brand pioneered high-end PC flight controllers designed to replicate actual cockpit experiences. Its early success made it a staple for aviation enthusiasts and hardcore gamers alike.
In 1999, the brand was acquired by the French company Guillemot Corporation S.A., which currently maintains ultimate ownership of the brand. Under Guillemot Corporation, Thrustmaster expanded its product lineup to include steering wheels, gamepads, and headsets, often collaborating with major aerospace and automotive manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, and Ferrari.
Today, while the research, design, and engineering take place primarily at the headquarters in France, the actual manufacturing and assembly of most products, including the T.16000M series, are carried out in China to utilize specialized electronics manufacturing hubs. The brand remains a dominant force in the simulation market, headquartered in Carentoir, France.
