Sunbeam Kettle

Sunbeam is a deeply established household brand in Australia, originally founded as a subsidiary of the American Chicago Flexible Shaft Company. Over the decades, it became a cornerstone of Australian kitchens, known for durable small appliances. While the brand has a rich history of local manufacturing in Sydney, production shifted offshore to optimize global supply chains, with most modern Sunbeam products now manufactured in China.

In 2016, Sunbeam was acquired by Newell Brands, a major American conglomerate. Following a strategic review, Newell Brands sold its Electrical Solutions business, including Sunbeam, to the Australian consumer products company GUD Holdings. However, shortly after in 2020, GUD sold the business back to Newell Brands. Today, Sunbeam operates as a key part of the Newell Brands portfolio, specifically managed through their local Australian operations while maintaining global design and manufacturing standards.
