Lake Reschen Bell Tower

The image features the iconic 14th-century submersed bell tower of the Former Church of Saint Catherine, located in Lake Reschen (Lago di Resia) in South Tyrol, Italy. This landmark is the only visible remnant of the village of Graun, which was intentionally flooded in 1950 during the construction of a hydroelectric dam.

Today, the site is a major tourist destination and a cultural symbol of the region's history.
