Fedora Linux Operating System

Fedora is a prominent Linux distribution developed by the community-supported Fedora Project. It serves as the upstream source for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), acting as a platform for innovation and new technologies in the open-source world.

The project was originally founded in 2003 as a result of the merger between Red Hat Linux and the Fedora Linux project. While the development is driven by a global community of contributors, it is sponsored and supported by Red Hat. In 2019, Red Hat was acquired by IBM, making IBM the ultimate corporate owner of the brand and its intellectual property assets, although the project continues to operate with a high degree of community independence.
