Guaraná Leão is a traditional Brazilian beverage brand with over a century of history. Originally founded in 1901 by Agostinho Ermelino de Leão Junior in Curitiba as 'Leão Junior S.A.', the company initially specialized in Matte tea. Over the decades, the brand expanded into various beverage categories, including the popular guaraná soda flavor shown here.
In 2007, the brand underwent a major transformation when it was acquired by The Coca-Cola Company. Today, manufacturing is localized across several bottling facilities in Brazil operated by Coca-Cola FEMSA and other regional partners. The brand remains a staple of Brazilian culture, blending its deep heritage with the global distribution and marketing infrastructure of its American parent company.
