Brand is one of the oldest and most prestigious beer brands in the Netherlands, with a history dating back to 1340 in Wijlre, Limburg. It is famously known as the oldest brewery in the Netherlands still in operation at its historic site for centuries, although modern production has integrated into larger networks. The brand is celebrated for its traditional brewing methods and distinctive pilsner.

Since 1989, the Brand Brewery has been a key part of the Heineken N.V. portfolio. While it maintains its unique regional identity and 'Limburgish' roots, its distribution and high-level strategy are managed by the global brewing giant HEINEKEN. Most of the production remains centered in the Netherlands, upholding the quality standards established by the Brand family over generations.
