In 1974, the brand was acquired by the SSIH group (which later evolved into the Swatch Group). Following this acquisition, Hamilton transitioned its production facilities from the United States to Switzerland. Today, Hamilton is recognized as a Swiss-made brand, combining its legendary American spirit with the technical precision and prestige of Swiss horology. The brand's headquarters and manufacturing are now located in Bienne, Switzerland.

As a member of the Swatch Group, Hamilton operates alongside other world-renowned brands like Omega and Tissot.
