Heidi Dark Origins Ecuador is a premium dark chocolate bar featuring 70% cocoa solids derived from Ecuadorian beans. The brand HEIDI has a unique heritage, founded in 1994 in Romania by a Swiss chocolatier family, the Laederach family. It was one of the first private chocolate brands in post-communist Romania, combining Swiss chocolate-making traditions with local production.

Today, the brand is owned by the Meinl family through their investment group. While the brand carries a Swiss name and follows Swiss recipes, its main production facility remains located in Pantelimon, near Bucharest, Romania. From this hub, Heidi exports its gourmet chocolate products to over 50 countries worldwide, positioning itself as a leader in the premium chocolate segment in Eastern Europe and beyond.
