Olympus NDT testing equipment

Olympus NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) is a specialized division originally established by the Japanese corporation Olympus. For decades, the brand became synonymous with high-precision ultrasonic, x-ray fluorescence, and eddy current testing equipment, serving industries ranging from aerospace to energy.

In a significant corporate reorganization, Olympus Corporation spun off its Scientific Solutions division—including NDT—into a wholly independent entity. This new company, named Evident Corporation, was subsequently acquired by the investment firm Bain Capital. Today, while the heritage of the technology remains rooted in Japanese engineering, the brand operates as part of the Evident portfolio under global private equity ownership, continuing to manufacture its diverse range of scanners and probes in high-tech facilities across Japan, Canada, and the United States.
