Pertamina Fuels and Lubricants

Pertamina, officially known as PT Pertamina (Persero), is Indonesia's national energy giant and its largest state-owned enterprise. The company's origins date back to 1957 with the establishment of Permina, which later merged with Pertamin in 1968 to form the modern entity. As an integrated energy company, Pertamina occupies a dominant position across the entire value chain of the Indonesian oil and gas industry, from exploration and production to refining, distribution, and retail sales.

While the company's core operations and major refineries are located throughout Indonesia—including facilities in Balikpapan, Cilacap, and Balongan—it also maintains an international footprint with upstream assets in countries such as Iraq and Malaysia. Beyond liquid fuels like Pertamax and Solar, the brand is widely recognized for its lubricants and liquified petroleum gas (LPG) products. Under the ownership of the Indonesian government, Pertamina is currently pivoting toward a sustainable future by investing in renewable energy projects, geothermal power, and biofuels to support Indonesia's net-zero emissions targets by 2060.
