Domeniile Franco-Române (DFR) is a pioneering winery located in the Dealu Mare wine region of Romania, specifically in Săhăteni. The brand was established in 2000 by Denis Thomas, a French winemaker from Burgundy, who was among the first to introduce organic viticulture practices to Romania. This specific Chardonnay Ecologic represents the blend of French winemaking tradition with Romanian terroir.

In 2020, the winery underwent a significant transition when it was acquired by a group of Romanian investors. While the foundation of the brand remains rooted in the Franco-Romanian partnership envisioned by Denis Thomas, the current ownership and operations are based in Romania. The production process, from grape cultivation in ecological vineyards to bottling, takes place entirely within the Dealu Mare region, ensuring a product of origin-specific quality.
