Pott Rum, often referred to as 'Der Gute Pott', is one of Germany's most traditional and well-known spirits. The brand was established in 1848 by Hans Hinrich Pott in Flensburg, a city historically famous for its rum trade with the West Indies.

While the raw distillates are sourced from overseas (traditional Caribbean sugar cane regions), the refined blending, maturation, and bottling processes occur in Germany to maintain its signature quality. Since 2006, the brand has been under the ownership of Henkell Freixenet, ensuring its continued presence in both domestic and international markets as a staple for baking, tea, and cocktail preparation.
