Grupo Nutresa

Grupo Nutresa is a leading processed food company in Colombia and one of the most relevant players in the sector in Latin America. Founded in 1920 in Medellín as the Compañía Nacional de Chocolates, the company has evolved through mergers and acquisitions to become a diversified conglomerate with a strong presence in the coffee, biscuit, chocolate, cold cut, pasta, and ice cream markets.

While its primary production facilities remain in Colombia, Nutresa has significant manufacturing operations in countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Chile, and the United States. Its massive distribution network ensures that its brands, which include names like Jet, Noel, and Colcafé, reach consumers across the Americas and beyond. Ownership of the company has recently undergone a major transformation. After decades of being a cornerstone of the Grupo Empresarial Antioqueño (GEA), a controlling interest was acquired by the Gilinski Group through IHC Holding (International Holding Company), based in Abu Dhabi. This transition marks a new era for the brand, integrating it into a global investment framework while maintaining its Latin American heritage.
