Marbú Dorada is a classic brand of biscuits deeply rooted in Spanish breakfast culture. It was originally created by Artiach, a company founded in 1907 in Bilbao, Spain. These biscuits are known for their circular shape and 'Maria' style texture, designed specifically to be resistant enough to be dipped in milk without breaking immediately.
Over the decades, the Artiach factory became one of the most significant biscuit producers in Europe. The brand and its manufacturing facility are currently located in Orozko (Bizkaia), Spain. The ownership of Artiach has changed hands several times, moving from Nabisco to United Biscuits, Panrico, and finally to its current owner.
Since 2015, the brand has been owned by Adam Foods, a group that emerged from the split of the former Nutrexpa group. Adam Foods remains a family-owned Spanish company headquartered in Barcelona, specializing in flour-based products and confectionery, and it continues to manufacture Marbú Dorada within Spanish territory.
