HAK Appelcompote

HAK is one of the most iconic vegetable and fruit processing brands in the Netherlands, founded by the Hak family in Giessen in 1952. The brand is well-known for its glass jar packaging and its commitment to local sourcing, with a significant portion of its produce grown within a 125-kilometer radius of its factory in Brabant.

Over the years, the company has transitioned from a family business to being part of several investment groups. Currently, HAK is owned by the Russian food company KDV Group, which acquired the parent company, Neerlands Glorie, in 2021. Despite this international ownership, HAK maintains its strong Dutch identity, continuing to operate its primary production facility in Giessen, Netherlands, and focusing on sustainable, local cultivation for its range of apple compotes, beans, and vegetables.
