Selga is a historic Latvian brand originally established in 1956. It is most famous for its classic square-shaped biscuits, which have remained a staple in the Baltic region for decades. The brand was originally created by the Latvian confectionery manufacturer Laima (and subsequently managed under NP Foods Group).
In 2014, the brand was acquired by the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla as part of its strategic expansion in the Baltic market. To modernize production, Orkla consolidated its biscuit manufacturing into a large-scale, state-of-the-art facility located in Ādaži, Latvia. Today, Selga is managed by the subsidiary Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Latvija, continuing its legacy as a leading biscuit brand in Northern Europe and the Baltics.
