Kaiku is a prominent dairy brand with deep roots in the Basque Country of Spain. Originally founded as a cooperative (Kaiku Corporación Alimentaria) in the 1950s, it significantly evolved when the Swiss dairy group Emmi AG acquired a majority stake in the mid-2000s and increased it to over 73% by 2012.

Today, Kaiku remains a leader in the Spanish market, particularly known for its pioneering role in introducing lactose-free milk products. While it is ultimately owned by the Swiss company Emmi Group, most of its production continues to take place in Spain near its original source material to ensure the sustainability and freshness mentioned on its packaging.
