Cottee's Ice Magic is a classic Australian ice cream topping known for its unique ability to harden into a crunchy shell when poured over cold desserts. Originally launched under the Cottee's brand, a household name in Australia for cordials and jams, the product contains coconut oil which solidifies rapidly upon contact with frozen snacks.
Today, the brand is owned by Asahi Holdings (Australia), a subsidiary of the Japanese beverage giant Asahi Group Holdings. Manufacturing remains primarily localized in Australia to serve the domestic market where it retains high consumer brand recognition. The transition of ownership from Cadbury Schweppes to Asahi was part of a larger divestment of beverage and confectionery-adjacent brands in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
