Kiehl's is a historic American cosmetics brand that began as a single pharmacy in Manhattan at Third Avenue and East 13th Street in 1851. The brand is renowned for its premium skin, hair, and body care products which combine pharmaceutical, herbal, and medicinal knowledge. The Ultra Facial Cleanser is one of their core products, formulated for all skin types.

While Kiehl's originated as a family-owned business in New York City, it was acquired by the French cosmetics giant L'Oréal in 2000. Under L'Oréal's stewardship, the brand has expanded significantly across the globe while maintaining its "Old Apothecary" aesthetic.
