Tim Tam is an iconic Australian chocolate biscuit first introduced by Arnott's in 1964. Named after the winning horse of the 1958 Kentucky Derby, the product has become a cultural staple in Australia and is widely exported globally.
While the brand maintains its deep Australian heritage and continues to be primarily manufactured in its home country at facilities such as Huntingwood in Sydney, its ownership has undergone several international transitions. After decades of ownership by the American firm Campbell Soup Company, Arnott's (and thus the Tim Tam brand) was acquired by the US-based private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) in 2019. Today, Tim Tam remains the flagship product of The Arnott's Group, operating as a subsidiary under KKR's investment portfolio.
