V6 is a well-known functional chewing gum brand originally founded in Denmark in the 1960s. It was specifically developed with dental health in mind, famously incorporating ingredients like Carbamide to neutralize plaque acid and protect tooth enamel. The brand became a staple in the Nordic and Scandinavian markets as a leading choice for sugar-free oral hygiene on the go.
Historically, V6 was part of the Dandy company based in Vejle, Denmark. Over the decades, through various corporate mergers and acquisitions, the brand’s ownership shifted. It was eventually acquired by the multinational snack food conglomerate Mondelēz International. Today, while the brand maintains its strong Nordic identity and heritage, the actual production is primarily centralized in Mondelēz's large-scale confectionery manufacturing facilities in Poland which serve the European market. Mondelēz International, headquartered in the United States, continues to manage V6 as a key part of its global gum and mint portfolio.
