Barrio Beer

Barrio Brewing Co. is Tucson, Arizona’s oldest active brewery, founded by Dennis and Tauna Arnold. It originally grew out of the Gentle Ben’s Brewing Co., which moved to its current location in a historic warehouse near the downtown tracks. The brand has become a staple of the Arizona craft beer scene, known for its accessible styles and deep local roots.

In a landmark move for the company in 2020, the founders transitioned the business to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This means the brewery is 100% employee-owned, ensuring that the legacy of the brand remains in the hands of the people who brew, serve, and manage the product daily. All brewing operations and manufacturing are concentrated in Tucson, Arizona.
