Australian Passport

The Australian Passport is the official travel document issued to citizens of Australia. It serves as proof of citizenship and identity for international travel purposes. The current design features high-security elements, including a biometric chip, to ensure document integrity and facilitate faster border processing.

Technically not a brand in the commercial sense, the 'brand' is the Commonwealth of Australia. The document is issued under the Australian Passports Act 2005 and is managed by the Australian Passport Office (APO), which is a branch of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Manufacturing is strictly controlled and conducted within Australia by specialized contractors, most notably the Note Printing Australia (a subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of Australia), to maintain the highest levels of security and national sovereignty.
