Lipton is one of the world's most recognizable tea brands, originally founded in Scotland by Sir Thomas Lipton in the late 19th century. The brand gained global fame for its standardized tea blends and innovative marketing strategies, moving tea from a luxury item to an affordable daily beverage.

Historically part of the Unilever portfolio for decades, the Lipton tea business underwent a major corporate transition recently. Most of Lipton's tea estates and the tea brand itself were spun off into a new independent entity called Liptea (formerly Ekaterra) in 2022, which was subsequently acquired by CVC Capital Partners. However, the Lipton ready-to-drink (bottled) tea segment remains a joint venture between Unilever and PepsiCo.

Manufacturing for Lipton tea occurs in multiple countries across the globe to serve local markets, with major production facilities in Poland (serving the European market shown in the image), the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and the United States. The tea leaves themselves are sourced from plantations in Kenya, India, Sri Lanka, and China before being processed and packaged in regional hubs.
